There is a difference between a book that sells and a good book. This is a quote that solves my problem.

Here is my reply to this.
I'm glad you found it helpful. I also wrote books that sold and books that didn't sell, so I knew the difference a little bit. :)
Really.
It's not a good book just because it sells. Conversely, good books do not sell well.
One of Van Gogh's works was sold while he was alive.
Henry David Thoreau made a self-deprecating joke about keeping most of his self-published books at home.
I've also published a few books, but the ones I put the most effort into don't sell well. However, the practical book written in 15 days is still selling well. I don't think the book is ever a good book. It's a very easy-to-use practical book, but it fits the needs of the market well.
In addition, I am now running a company that makes books, videos and records. So, when my clients have these concerns, I always ask them.
Do you want to be a good book?
Want to be a great book?
Or do you want to be a best-selling book?
(Because having both is as hard as winning the lottery)
I think life is like that too. Do you want to live a life that sells well, or do you want to live a great life.
You can't say "both".
